This years Northants interclub Tournament proved to be a spectacular competition between our local Taekwondo clubs, and certainly didn't disappoint with plenty of explosive action.

The annual event was organised and hosted by our very own Raunds club, and brought together competitors from Wellingborough, Kettering, Bungay, Northampton, Grange Park, Raunds and Boston.  Competitors took part in patterns, semi-contact sparring and destruction (a.k.a. breaking).

The overall winner was Wellingborough club with a healthy 11 point lead over second place Bungay.  Congratulations to Mr. King and the Wellingborough club.

Competitors and spectators alike all had a fun day and entered into the spirit of the event in the name of Taekwondo.

Well done to everyone who took part, whether you got a medal or not...you're a winner.

Our thanks go to Mrs. Parker and the Raunds club for hosting this years event, which I think everyone will agree was hailed as a great success.

Our thanks also to all the Black Belts who helped officiate the Tournament, without whom it simply wouldn't have been possible to run the event.  And I think worth special mention are the Junior Black Belts who proved to be professional in both their attitude and commitment.  Thank you all.
